The altar frontal is being rededicated on 30th April in an evensong starting at 6.30pm. The last part of this work is the fringing which needs some TLC before being reattached. This involves some supportive darning and repair work. The picture here shows the before and after of a section where the fringe band had broken, and then the repaired section. The final picture on the left shows my idea for an impromptu pin cushion.

What a belter formed part of a series of Sunday Special Workshops at Queens Park Arts Centre in Aylesbury. Will and Julie are here in the picture with their finished belts. These were belts that they made to fit them, with tooling and surface decoration, and then hand dyed. We were out in one of the annex buildings and could hammer away to our hearts content. A lovely day in a lovely place. My thanks to Will, Julie and Amanda for making the day so fab.

We are exhibiting during Bucks Open Studios again in St. Nicholas Kingsey. This year I am trying some new ideas with purse frames, so watch this space.......

What a summer. The opportunity to repair a Victorian altar frontal. 292 visitors, 134 stitchers and over £600 refreshment sales and some amazing stories. The picture below shows the before and after.
